Flat Roofs and Low-Slope Roofs

Flat and low-slope Roofing Systems

Whether it's a section, or an entire roof, flat and low-slope roofs exist on many residential homes. These lower roof pitches tend to make water runoff more difficult, and therefore require a specific type of roof system. Billy's Roofing is equipped to service this and make sure the right style roof is installed on your home. We specialize in roof replacements for EPDM and SBS Modified Bitumen Roofs. Because not every situation is the same, one of our team members will come out to your home, and assess which of these roofing systems will work best for you.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer) Membrane

A single-ply, durable roofing system that we mechanically attach, ballast, or fully adhere to the base. EPDM systems are flexible to provide stability during bad weather and all extreme temperatures. EPDM material is also the same material used to build fish ponds. This makes EPDM perfect for roofs with little or no pitch, where water tends to sit. We use 60 mL black rubber with sections up to 30' x 100', providing little to no seams. We highly recommend EPDM to ensure both a durable and long-lasting flat roof.

SBS Modified Bitumen Roofs (Flintlastic)

This type of roof provides speed of installation, impact resistance, and system compatibility. Our preferred choice of SBS Modified Bitumen Roofs is Flintlastic - a premium, self-adhering membrane, that is excellent for most low-slope roofs. It is available in 8 different colors, to match the color of your shingles, helping with the flow and aesthetic of your home. Click here for available colors and to learn more about the Flintlastic Roofing System.
